Nobel Peace Prize Recipient Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri gives keynote at first JET Breakfast

JET Breakfast: Jade Eli Technologies to launch new series of events

Berlin, 23. April 2019 +++ Jade Eli Technologies (JET), an innovation specialist for technologies such as Low-Code, Blockchain, Enterprise AI, Internet of Things and Gamified Systems (, is launching a new series of events. In its JET Quarterly Breakfasts series, the leading technology company will inform about the opportunities and challenges facing enterprises in technical innovation in a rapidly changing technological landscape. The first JET Breakfast takes place on May 22nd at the BANKINGCLUB in Frankfurt. The event focuses on innovations in the field of natural capital risk assessment and demonstrates to leaders in banking how to use technology to adapt the business to meet the requirements of the Principles for Responsible Banking. The keynote is given by Dr. Rajendra Kumar Pachauri, former Chairman of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize in 2007 on behalf of the IPCC and board member of the World Academy of Arts and Science.

The Principles for Responsible Banking, developed by the Financial Initiative of the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP FI) and a consortium of international banks, covers a number of aspects of climate change that have been put on the agenda, identified by the Paris Climate Agreement and the IPPC 1.5-Degrees Special Report. “We are very pleased that Dr. Pachauri’s keynote marks the launch of our series of events,” said Peta Milan, Director of Jade Eli Technologies and Associate Fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Science. “As a renowned climate scientist and board member of the World Academy of Arts and Science, there is no one more knowledgeable on this subject to have as a speaker. Together we want to help banks better understand the risks they face as a result of climate change”. Accordingly, the first JET Breakfast not only promotes dialogue on the climate threat, but also shows banking sector leaders how to better account for risks using low-code technology.
